CENTAUR MAGAZINE ARTICLE SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES

The Centaur Magazine staff encourages members, chapters, and regions to submit articles and photographs for publication in each issue. News about individual and chapter achievements, community service activities, and special programs (e.g., Founders’ Day activities, scholarship events, and social affairs) are especially invited. Feature articles and special interest stories may also be submitted. The Centaur Magazine is published two times each year. Each issue will contain Messages from the Editor, Grand Polaris, and National Director; National News; Special Features on topics of interest to the membership; Regional News; Sports Features; Spotlight brothers and chapters among other topics.

Items should be submitted as soon as possible but must be received by the Editor not later than the published deadline for publication consideration. The following suggestions are offered to assist writers in preparing items for submission.

GUIDELINES

  1. Present the facts for each news article. Remember to tell WHO, WHAT, WHEN, and WHERE for news items. Include the complete names of the participants, the complete name of the activity held, when the event took place (specific date and time), and the location (city and building). The number of guests present (Do not include the names of guests unless the persons hold special status.) and the amount raised at fund-raisers are important facts to include.

  1. For individual achievement articles, include the complete name of the Brother being featured and the complete honor recently achieved. Also, include the Brother’s current chapter of membership, chapter and year of initiation, professional position, and degree history.
