Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. must grant a License before anyone may manufacture, design, make, copy, sell, display or distribute any paraphernalia relating to the Fraternity, or containing the crest, symbols, or any trade name or trademark of the Fraternity.

 

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, a national Greek letter organization, is the owner of registered trademarks bearing the shield of the Fraternity, the trade names [IFQ/IOTA PHI THETA FRATERNITY, INC], and is entitled to the exclusive use of said trademarks, and trade names.

 

The Fraternity must approve all items and the method of distribution or marketing of the goods/merchandise to members prior to any such distribution or marketing.

 

The license authorizes the Certified Vendor to sell the approved products to members only at approved Fraternity functions and other media avenues (i.e. specific internet site, catalogues, and mail devices). The following are quick reference points about our vendor program:

 

• A Certified Vendors license is required to sell any paraphernalia of the fraternity
• The License must be displayed at all times when selling Iota paraphernalia.
• The license is non transferable.
• Licenses are only valid for one year
• Initial purchase of vendor licenses is $750.00
• There is annual renewal fee of $300.00 to be paid every year after initial license purchase.
• If your vendor license has gone over two consecutive years without renewal the vendor will be required to establish a new license with the initial $750.00 fee applying.
• The Fraternity reserves the right to withdraw the license of anyone that violates the policies and procedures of the Fraternity.
• All paraphernalia should be presented in good taste and with the highest standards as determined by the Fraternity.
• The Fraternity does not wish to license certain items that conflict with its mission or vision and/or corporate policies that may portray it in an inappropriate manner, or cause derision or ridicule.
• The Fraternity will aggressively identify and pursue all violators of our certification policy and will seek to punish violators to the fullest extent of the law.

 

The Fraternity requests that members support the program, refrain from patronizing and report unlicensed vendors. Report unlicensed vendors to Brother John Scott, International Grand Vice Polaris or Brother Keenan Saulters., National General Counsel at the address below. Provide the name of business; contact person and title if available; address, telephone number; location, event and items being sold.

Vendor Licensing

Iota Phi Theta is pleased to offer vendors the opportunity to manufacture and produce items of paraphernalia for sale. We do however recognize that there is a value associated with this opportunity and in recognition of this value have instituted a one time licensing fee of $750.00 and a yearly renewal fee of $300.00 as January 1, 2006 for vendors to sell and manufacture this paraphernalia. Only those pre-approved Vendors pay a reduced fee at Conclaves and Summer Conference Events.

 

The Fraternity also has set forth certain specifications for the reproduction of such paraphernalia related to symbols, colors, and representation of the Fraternity. An additional licensing fee is required to create, use the name and marks manufacturers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated original designs of $750.00 w/approval from the National Office including the vending fee if a vendor intends to sell Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated Paraphernalia.  If you need further information or clarification, please feel free to contact us.

These items should aid greatly in the design and production of accurate paraphernalia for our members.
